According to bible prophecy, one of the sad realities predicted in scripture is the apostasy of the church. Scripture reveals that this departure from truth began very early after the formation of the church, and would continue until the return of Christ for His own; the true church, which is comprised of all those who have placed their trust in His substitutionary work upon the cross as the only remedy for sin and separation from God.
Sadly, this departure stems from a lack of biblical knowledge and discernment. God has revealed His mind and heart to man through His precious word, in which we would do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place. 2Peter 1:19. Especially the testimony that He has given of His Son, 1John 5:9-13.
Therefore, the only remedy for this sad condition is to return to His word as our only authority and source of truth. Our prayer is that God's wonderful word would be exalted; and our beloved Savior lifted up and glorified, and that all would come to the knowledge of the Son of God, and believe on Him for everlasting life.
